From real estate and resettlement to senior transitions
Before she opened her franchise, Anne spent years in Denver real estate, staging homes and running fix-and-flip projects. That sharpened her eye for what a home needs.
When the Denver market inflated sharply in 2015 and 2016, she pivoted, spending several years managing a refugee resettlement program and helping newcomers to Colorado find stable housing.
When she found Caring Transitions, everything came together. "I've had a career that has involved either real estate or helping people," she says, "and this franchise incorporated both of those things." She brought in Jennifer Freeman as her business partner, and together they launched the Denver Southeast location.
What the hardest projects taught her
The work is hard, and Anne doesn't pretend otherwise. Her team has tackled many hoarder situations back to back in a brutal Denver summer and worked with grieving families where loss complicated everything.
Those experiences shaped how she leads. "Every project is different than the time before," she says. "You're always learning something new. And the more success we have, the more confident we feel to face each challenge."
Credentials and Recognition
Anne holds a degree in elementary education, has earned interior design certificates over the years, and became a Certified Senior Relocation Specialist when she opened the business. She's built active referral relationships with many senior communities. Her reputation rests on reliability. Realtors and senior living directors describe the team as professional and dependable.
Anne is upfront about why the price reflects that: the team carries liability insurance, pays staff a decent wage, and trains them properly for this work.
"You get what you pay for," she says, "and when somebody hires us to do a job, we are incredibly reliable, and we get it done when we say we are going to get it done."
